Open Rank: Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Ophthalmology
Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons is seeking a dynamic, forward-looking academic ophthalmologist to join the Oculoplastics Division of the Department of Ophthalmology-Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute. Responsibilities include participation in the faculty practice of the Department of Ophthalmology, teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, and other educational and research activities. A track record of proven positive interactions with residents and fellows is highly desirable. Candidates should enjoy working as part of a team with excellent communication skills and a commitment to superior oculoplastic and orbital patient care, teaching, and research.
The successful candidate will be appointed to the full-time faculty at Columbia University Department of Ophthalmology at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute with privileges at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Qualifications include completion of an accredited residency program, board eligibility/certification, and eligibility for licensure in New York State.
