Glaucoma Faculty

The Glaucoma Division of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is undergoing an exciting period of growth.  We are seeking a fellowship-trained, BC/BE full-time glaucoma faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate’s experience. 

As a tertiary referral center, we have a large population of glaucoma patients with complex pathology. The qualified applicant will be expected to provide outstanding clinical care and participate actively in the residency training program.  A significant portion of time will be spent at the Baltimore VA medical center along with having a faculty practice.

The campus is located in the heart of downtown Baltimore, right near Camden Yards and M&T Bank Football Stadium. It is only minutes away from the Inner Harbor, Maryland Science Center, and National Aquarium. In addition to Baltimore’s many outstanding attractions, from fine arts and orchestras to professional sports teams, first-class dining and shopping, and numerous historical sites, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and New York City are within easy reach, as are beaches to the East and mountains to the West.
