Oculofacial and Orbital Surgeon

About the position:

• Join 17 other ophthalmologists in a growing eye institute with support in all areas of ophthalmology and optometry including dry eye/blepharitis, ocular oncology and neuro-ophthalmology.
• Focus only on full spectrum oculofacial and orbital surgery with access to intra-operative cosmetic lasers as desired.
• Shared supervisory and educational roles with our 3 (soon to be 4) residents a year
• Shared resident supported oculoplastic call at a singular location
• Opportunity for involvement in multi-disciplinary research, clinical trials, UNeMed (technology transfer & commercialization), and UNMC's new $120+ million Davis Global Center (iExcel) advanced surgery simulation center
• The current provider sees 35-40 patients a day and performs 20-25 surgical procedures weekly. There is a 4-month wait time for both clinic and surgery.
