The University of Chicago's Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science seeks a Clinical Associate at full-time effort for a renewable two-year term. Clinical responsibilities will include comprehensive eye care at the department's clinical sites. We especially welcome applicants who have completed an optometric residency in either ocular diseases or contact lens. An administrative leadership position may be available for qualified applicants. This position does not require teaching or scholarly activity.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) hold a doctor of optometry degree or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for optometric licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be certified to practice optometry by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) and 4) have prior experience providing eye care in a hospital or academic setting.
