Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Glaucoma (East Bay Location)

The Department of Ophthalmology at Stanford University is seeking a candidate specializing in Glaucoma to join the department at our East Bay location. This position is open at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the University Medical Line or Clinician Educator Line.

  • The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
  • The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
  • The candidate should hold an MD, MD-PhD, or equivalent degree in a related field.

Faculty or academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

We expect the successful candidate to have successfully completed a glaucoma ophthalmology fellowship, be board-certified, board-eligible, or in the examination process, and have a demonstrated record of, or commitment to, clinical teaching and scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine.
