New Mexico is known as the Land of Enchantment for good reason. Albuquerque is a culturally rich and naturally beautiful metropolitan area. The people are friendly and the area has a lively arts scene, close to the galleries of Santa Fe and Madrid, NM. Albuquerque is an attractive area for outdoor enthusiasts; we have year-round good weather and easy access to the outdoors (the Sandia mountain wilderness is 20 minutes from UNM). There are two national laboratories nearby: Sandia and Los Alamos.
