Research Scientist - tenure-track faculty position

We seek outstanding applicants for a tenure-track faculty position focused on retinal disease research. Candidates with a research focus in immunology, genetics/genomics, inflammation, stem cell biology, neuroprotectins, and gene therapy are encouraged to apply. This tenure-track position is for candidates that qualify for the rank of either Assistant or Associate Professor. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience and academic credentials. 

Candidates at the Assistant Professor level are expected to have postdoctoral training and first-author publications focusing on the retina. Candidates applying at Associate Professor level are expected to have a proven track record of scholarship and successful federal grant funding in retinal research. The successful candidate will maintain a nationally and internationally recognized basic and/or translational research program in retinal pathophysiology. Duties will include teaching/mentoring graduate students, medical students, and postdoctoral trainees, as well as service on departmental and medical school committees.

The campus provides excellent facilities for biomedical research, including Imaging Center, Genomics Center, Center for Magnetic Resonance Research, Flow Cytometry facility, Transgenic Facility, and Center for MS and proteomics.
