Due to various sequelae of the COVID-19 crisis, the AUPO has decided to modify the previously published timeline for the 2020-2021 ophthalmology match cycle. We will continue to review this as the pandemic evolves, and will keep the membership apprised of any future changes.
In response to the effects that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on medical education, as well as its potential effects throughout the upcoming interview season and match cycle, AUPO has developed an information document to assist medical students applying to ophthalmology this year.

ACGME Ophthalmology Milestones Comments Due Sept 3

A new draft of the ACGME ophthalmology Milestones are available for review. The Milestones reporting data, along with other survey results and comments, informed the changes. The Work Group also created a Supplemental Guide to enhance understanding of the Milestones. Feedback from end users is an important part of the process.
