Director, Dry Eye Service

The Department of Ophthalmology at NYU Langone Health (NYULH) is currently seeking an Ophthalmologist with expertise in the evaluation and management of dry eye to direct our newly formed Dry Eye Service. The candidate will serve as a full time member of our faculty.

In addition to clinical qualifications, candidates should possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated expertise in all areas of the tripartite mission.

 

Qualifications:

The candidate should be ABO-certified or ABO-eligible with demonstrated expertise in dry eye, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, national/international presentations and/or clinical trials in this area. The candidate must be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in New York State.

 

Clinical and administrative responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide ophthalmology services at the NYU Langone Hospitals and Ambulatory Care Centers, including comprehensive dry eye services.
  • Work with the Chair and other departmental leadership to develop the Dry Eye Service, including recruiting staff for the service.
  • Work with the Chair and Vice Chair for Research to advance the research initiatives of the service.
  • Enhance the reputation of the service through participation in specialty societies and national/international conferences.
  • Participate in relevant resident and medical student teaching.

 

Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and the requirements of NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

NYULH provides a salary range to comply with the New York State Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The annual salary range for this role $300,000 to $400,000. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education and health system need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentives or other forms of compensation or benefits. NYULH provides a generous suite of faculty benefits.
