Comprehensive Ophthalmologist

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time clinical faculty position. Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate’s experience. The School of Medicine has an active compensation plan which includes incentives and bonuses. The School of Medicine is affiliated with the University of Maryland Medical System which includes the University of Maryland Medical Center, University of Maryland Midtown Campus, as well as several others.

The physician will provide medical and surgical comprehensive care for patients and should be proficient with a wide variety of pathology, including patients with multiple complex ocular diagnoses. Requirements include completion of an approved ophthalmic residency program.  Board certification or eligibility, and eligibility for licensure in Maryland are also required.  The anticipated start date for this position is contingent upon selection of a qualified candidate.
