The Vanderbilt Eye Institute (VEI) in Nashville, Tennessee is actively seeking a fellowship-trained retina specialist to join our department. VEI is a large multi-specialty academic ophthalmology practice with multiple satellite offices and annual patient volume in excess of 160,000. The candidate will be joining an established, world-class retina division with 10 current full-time retina faculty with subspecialty expertise in uveitis, ocular oncology, pediatric retina, and inherited retinal disease. The retina division currently trains 3 vitreoretinal fellows and has active clinical and basic research programs.

VEI seeks candidates who are certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology or board eligible. This position is a full-time clinician-educator or clinical-practice track. The position is open to current clinical faculty or those finishing fellowship training who are energetic, enjoy teaching and mentoring, are motivated to care for patients and operate, are interested in clinical research, and desire to be a part of a collegial and prominent academic ophthalmology department.
