Position description
The Department of Ophthalmology at UC San Diego (http://health.ucsd.edu/specialties/eyes/Pages/default.aspx) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is recruiting a Glaucoma Researcher.

This exciting opportunity provides multi-year funding (three years) to support a salary for a suitable research candidate. In addition, further funds are set aside to cover research costs as well as staff costs for a full time technician and startup for extra equipment to support these studies. This funded position is ideal for a researcher wishing to apply for federal grant funding leading to a faculty position or someone who already has federal grant support and would like to join the faculty at UCSD and expand their laboratory.

The position provides opportunities to maintain a database for glaucoma related research, OCTA, and artificial intelligence application.

The selected candidate will be responsible for performing studies and experiments and will provide onsite teaching to students in the lab. In addition, the successful candidate will analyze and prepare presentations and reports summarizing data.
