Cornea/Comprehensive Ophthalmologist
The Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia seeks a team-oriented full-time faculty member to join our Department at the assistant or associate professor level. Applicants must be board certified/eligible. Fellowship training in cornea is preferred but not required. Duties will include clinical care of patients, didactic and clinical training of residents and medical students. Coupled to these are opportunities for clinical research as well as administrative and leadership positions. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
The Medical College of Georgia, founded in 1828, is the academic medical center for the University System of Georgia. It is located in Augusta, Georgia, a classic yet cosmopolitan southern city offering a variety of rich historic, cultural, and culinary experiences with a low cost of living. The Riverwalk, located along the banks of the scenic Savannah River, leads to many of the downtown attractions, including museums, art galleries, coffee shops, local restaurants, and the Georgia Cyber Center. Atlanta is about two hours to the west and Charlotte is about 2 hours to the north, while the mountains of North Georgia and the Atlantic coast beaches located in Savannah, Hilton Head, and Charleston are about a three hour drive to the east. The climate is conducive to year round outdoor activity.
