The Havener Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at The Ohio State University is a growing practice. We are currently seeking applicants for a full-time clinical Optometrist position. The successful candidate will provide general eye care as well as coordinated team eye care in the subspecialty area of Dry Eye and ocular surface disease.   Compensation is commensurate with experience. Optometry candidates will be responsible for patient care, research, and education primarily in our OSU multi-specialty medical office buildings in the metro Columbus area.

The Havener Eye Institute has its primary location in the Eye and Ear Institute building near campus. We have newly constructed state-of-the art facilities that include on-site outpatient surgical centers. REQUIREMENTS

The candidate must be a graduate of a United States accredited School of Optometry and passed all parts of the NBEO exam.  Residency training in ocular disease or contact lens care is required. The candidate must also possess and maintain a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice optometry in the State of Ohio. 

An Academic position is available, and rank is commensurate with experience and academic credentials. Excellent clinical skills are required and commitment to knowledge and demonstrated interest in scholarship and discovery by evidence of basic and/or clinical applied research and publications, and commitment to resident, fellow and education is required.
