Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery
The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai( Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Department of Ophthalmology) announces an opening for a full-time faculty position of Assistant Professor (clinician-educator track) in the Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery division. The position entails clinical and on-call responsibilities at NYEE, Mount Sinai Hospital, and other hospitals within the Mount Sinai Health System.
Applicants must have graduated from a fully accredited ophthalmology residency, be ABO board-certified (board eligible individuals will be considered on a case-by-case basis), and have completed an ASOPRS fellowship or be ASOPRS members. The Mount Sinai Health System encourages applications from a diverse candidate pool.
Individuals are expected to have strong medical and surgical skills in oculoplastics. In addition, we highly value commitment to resident training (strong teaching skills in didactics and direct supervision) and ‘fit’ in a collegial collaborative academic environment. All faculty are expected to participate in research and develop their academic interests.
