Ophthalmology Residency Program Director
Saint Louis University, a Catholic Jesuit Institute dedicated to education, research and healthcare, is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position available immediately in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants must be board eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the direction of the Ophthalmology Residency Training Program. Qualifications must include specialty expertise and at least three years of educational and/or administrative experience. The Program Director will be responsible for administration and operations, teaching and scholarly activity, resident recruitment and selection, evaluation and promotion of residents and resident education in the context of patient care. The Program Director will serve as a role model to the residents in addition to fulfilling the technical aspects of the role. A strong commitment to clinical and surgical excellence as well as resident teaching is required. The program will be managed in a fashion consistent with the needs of the community and the mission of Saint Louis University, Department of Ophthalmology.
