The University of Texas Health Science Center a Houston, McGovern Medical School is seeking a board eligible or board-certified clinician with fellowship training in glaucoma to join our Department of Ophthalmology. This an academic appointment with research and teaching opportunities and expectations. We are looking for a clinician interested in building a busy practice at our primary location, the Cizik Eye Clinc, located within the Texas Medical Center. Other responsibilities may include resident and/or fellow supervision at our county hospital, Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, which is central to and the primary location of our education programs. 

 

This is an academic track with potential for tenure. Appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be determined in accordance with experience. Qualifications:
Applicants should have completed fellowship training or equivalent in glaucoma, be board certified/eligible in ophthalmology, and be eligible for a medical license in the state of Texas.

Preferred applicants will possess and demonstrate knowledge or skills such as, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong potential for a leadership role within the department.
