The Havener Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at The Ohio State University is a growing practice. We are currently seeking applicants for full-time clinician or clinician-scientist faculty position in specialty area Medical Retina and Ocular Oncology. This is an open search for tenure or non-tenure track at the Assistant Professor level or higher, commensurate with experience. Faculty candidates will be responsible for patient care, research, and education primarily in our new OSU multi-specialty medical office buildings and surgical suites in the metro Columbus area.  Participation in coverage at Columbus VA is also required. 

THE DEPARTMENT

The Havener Eye Institute has its primary location in the Eye and Ear Institute building near campus. We have newly constructed state-of-the art facilities that include on-site outpatient surgical centers. REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be board eligible or board certified in Ophthalmology by the time of appointment, and be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. Qualified candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and have completed an approved residency program in Ophthalmology.  Subspecialty training in a Reina  or Ocular Oncology fellowship is required. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience and academic credentials. Knowledge and proficiency in medical and surgical management area of subspecialty. Demonstrated interest in scholarship and discovery by evidence of basic and/or clinical applied research and publications. Commitment to resident, fellow and medical student education is required.
