The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the areas of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. There is immediate opportunity to engage in a busy tertiary clinical practice in an established longstanding department with a brand new, state of the art clinic building. Ample opportunities exist to develop independent and collaborative research and innovative education models.

Salary, rank and tenure status will be commensurate with credentials and experience. The College of Medicine has an active faculty compensation plan, which includes incentives and bonuses. Employer will assist with relocation costs.

Qualifications, in addition to clinical expertise, include a strong commitment to teaching, resident training, and research as well as participation in academic activities. Experience in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus is required. Incumbent will provide medical and surgical services to pediatric patients within UF Health facilities and affiliated locations.

Requirements include completion of an approved residency program as well as postgraduate fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. Board certification or eligibility, and eligibility for licensure in Florida are prerequisites. This position has an open recruiting deadline and will close upon selection of an appropriate candidate. The anticipated start date for this position is dependent upon selection of a successful candidate.
