Associate Program Director

The Department of Ophthalmology at Eastern Virginia Medical School is seeking an additional Ophthalmologist to join our expanding Department of Ophthalmology at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Applicants must be board-certified/board-eligible and should possess a strong commitment to clinical care, program development, teaching and research.  Applicants should be interested in joining as an Associate Program Director under the guidance and mentorship of the Program Director.

The successful candidate will have experience in all aspects of Ophthalmology. Duties will include tertiary/ quaternary care Ophthalmology, resident education, supervision and mentorship along with clinical research, depending upon area of interest.

The Department currently consists of one full time academic ophthalmologist, 40 volunteer community ophthalmology faculty, and 3 Veterans Administration faculty, practicing at multiple state of the art facilities throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. This full-time employed position offers a very competitive compensation package that is commensurate with experience along with an attractive benefits package.
