Full-time Comprehensive Ophthalmology Faculty Position

The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking applicants for a full-time comprehensive Ophthalmologist Faculty position at an Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor Level

The individual will join the comprehensive Ophthalmology Division and be responsible for patient care on the UCSF campuses and at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Oversight of inpatient consultations is an important component of the position. He/she will serve as a clinician educator with an emphasis on resident cataract and anterior segment surgical instruction.

Qualified candidates must meet all of the following criteria:

• hold an MD degree
• have completed (or in process of completing) Ophthalmology Residency Program
• must be board certified (ABO) or board eligible
• hold a California medical license or be eligible for a full, unrestricted licensure

Applicant’s materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission. Applicant must have all requirements met by time of hire.

Candidates must have a record of excellence in clinical care and teaching. Knowledge and proficiency in cataract and anterior segment surgical instruction are required.
