Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (HS Clin, Clin X, Adjunct, In Residence) Ophthalmic Genetics

The Viterbi Family Department of Ophthalmology at UC San Diego (http://health.ucsd.edu/specialties/eyes/Pages/default.aspx) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Department, Shiley Eye Institute, and UCSD Vision Research Center are expanding. The Department is recruiting a clinician scientist in Genetics.

Candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or PhD. Candidates with an MD must be board eligible or board certified in Ophthalmology. Candidates with an MD must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

Candidates with experience and training in computational genomics, informatics and omics of disease pathology including single cell genomics, epigenomics, high-throughput genetic and genomic data analyses in the context of disease pathology and precision medicine are preferred.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
