Montefiore Medical Center is a busy major academic institution serving a diverse urban and suburban population and is the primary teaching hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Montefiore Medical Center is in the Bronx, a short drive or public transit commute from Manhattan and easily accessible from Westchester County, Long Island and northern New Jersey.
The Position
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking an additional Board-eligible/certified pediatric ophthalmologist to join our full-time faculty. Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of New York. Academic appointment will be made at a rank commensurate with qualifications.
Department of Ophthalmology faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Candidates will be expected to provide medical and surgical care including consult and emergency services at the Einstein-Montefiore affiliated hospitals including the Children's Hospital at Montefiore; train residents and medical students; and make academic and research contributions. A new clinical and surgical facility caring for the pediatric subspecialties will be opening in lower Westchester County in late 2020.
