As we expand our services across Northwell Health, The Ophthalmology Service Line is seeking dynamic Comprehensive Pediatric Ophthalmologists for employment on Long Island. The candidate will be a member of the full time faculty (Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine Ophthalmology Program).  The ideal candidate will be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology. 

The Department of Ophthalmology brings together the vast resources of Northwell Health and the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine to provide state-of-the-art care while contributing to advances in technology, education and research. Our department consists of 12 full time faculty, 2 Optometrists, and over 140 community based comprehensive and specialty ophthalmologists. Faculty members have teaching responsibilities in the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine Ophthalmology Residency Program.

Northwell Health Research is conducted under the auspices of The Feinstein Institute, which currently has more than 2,000 research studies being conducted with more than 15,000 participants enrolled each year. Our state-of-the-art laboratories provide the infrastructure needed to conduct groundbreaking, disease-oriented research. They also house the largest genotyping facility in the State of New York. The Feinstein Institute ranks in the top 5th percentile of all National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants awarded to research centers.

Lastly, Northwell Health has established a transformative relationship with Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a world-leader in research that promises to speed the advancement of novel diagnostic and therapeutic discoveries.
