The Wake Forest Baptist Eye Center is seeking a Director of Pediatric Services and Nelson Professor of Pediatric Ophthalmology to join our department. The ophthalmologist will provide medical and surgical eye care at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Brenner Children’s Hospital and a satellite office at Davie Medical Center. The new faculty member is expected to contribute to the educational and academic missions of the department. The successful applicant will be appointed faculty of Wake Forest University School of Medicine, full time. The candidate must have completed an accredited residency in Ophthalmology. Fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus is required. Candidates must be Board Certified or Eligible in Ophthalmology, hold or be eligible for a North Carolina medical license and pass a criminal background check.

Winston-Salem is located in the Piedmont Triad and is well-known for its historical, cultural and recreational offerings. The city enjoys four mild, but distinct, seasons with close proximity to mountains, lakes and beaches. The cost of living is reasonable and the community is welcoming and hospitable.
