The Department of Ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medical College/New York-Presbyterian Hospital is searching for a board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained specialist in Cornea at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Individuals must be eligible for licensure in New York and possess demonstrated expertise in the management of corneal disorders and surgery as well as the management of ocular surface diseases.  Candidates with an additional interest in advanced cataract surgery and related general ophthalmology are particularly encouraged to apply.  While the primary focus of this position is cornea practice within the academic and teaching environment of the Cornea Service, there is substantial flexibility to develop a practice that would also include some degree of general ophthalmology in accord with a particular applicant's interests and goals. 

The Department has multiple locations with cornea services offered in all locations.  The main facility is housed in an elegant, state-of-the-art 22,000 sq. ft. facility within the Weill Greenberg Center for Ambulatory Care.  In addition, the Department has a suite of offices in downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn in association with NY Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital and NY Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist expansions. The candidate will practice at our NY Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist location. The Ophthalmology Department's Dyson Research Laboratory contains an additional 11,000 sq. ft. of bench laboratory space, and the adjacent facilities of New York-Presbyterian and affiliated institutions provide an unmatched opportunity for patient access, research collaborations, facilities, and training.
