The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor specializing in Glaucoma to support the expansion of clinical services. There is immediate opportunity to engage in a busy tertiary clinical practice in an established longstanding department with a brand new, state of the art clinic building. In addition to building a prolific clinical practice, abundant opportunities exist to develop independent and collaborative research as well as innovative education models.

Salary, rank and tenure status will be commensurate with credentials and experience. The College of Medicine has an active faculty compensation plan which includes incentives and bonuses. Employer will assist with relocation costs.

Retirement benefits include participation in 403(b) and 457 plans. Professional liability protection and sovereign immunity are administered by the Florida Board of Governors self-insurance program.

Requirements include completion of an approved ophthalmic residency program as well as a postgraduate glaucoma fellowship. Must be board certified or board eligible, and licensed (or eligible) to practice in Florida. Qualifications, in addition to clinical expertise, include a strong commitment to teaching, resident training, and research as well as participation in academic activities.
