Ophthalmic Hospitalist
The Havener Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at The Ohio State University is seeking applicants for full-time Ophthalmic Hospitalist at the assistant professor level or higher. Focus will be on patient care and teaching, with opportunities for research and a limited clinical practice. This role could require staffing of surgeries during the day time (i.e. open globes). Duties will include care of emergency and consultation patients, leadership of the ophthalmic urgent care service, bedside procedures and imaging, and didactic and clinical training of residents. The position will have support from a full complement of subspecialist ophthalmologist colleagues.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be board eligible or board certified in Ophthalmology by the time of appointment, and be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. Qualified candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and have completed an approved residency program in Ophthalmology. Successful completion of fellowship training being favored, but not required. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience and academic credentials. Knowledge and proficiency in medical and surgical management area of subspecialty. Demonstrated interest in scholarship and discovery by evidence of clinical publications is desirable. Commitment to resident, fellow and medical student education is required.
