The Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO) and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) are jointly hosting a 90-minute webinar, Advice for the 2025-2026 Ophthalmology Residency Match Season, on Monday, June 2, 5:00 PM PT / 6:00 PM MT / 7:00 PM CT / 8:00 PM ET.
The panelists are dedicated educators who represent the AUPO, AAO, and the SF Match and will share viewpoints on applying for this year’s ophthalmology residency match. The latest changes to the match process will be outlined. The perspectives of department chairs, deans' office, directors of medical student education, and residency program directors will be included. Presenters representing different regions across the U.S. will offer tips related to assessing your application, personal statements, research & extracurriculars, evaluating where to apply, interviewing, assessing residency program fit, preference signaling, and new features of the match. Participant questions will be answered based on the most current data available.
