Job Description
Duke Eye Center is accepting applications for a full-time oculofacial specialist to provide facial reconstruction, cosmetic surgery, and orbital surgery in our new construction expansion in Alamance County. The physician will have the support of a team of six board-certified clinicians and surgeons whose combined skill and leadership make for a well-rounded and respected group who are committed to training the next generation of oculofacial specialists and providing world-class clinical care.
This position offers a unique opportunity that includes the following:
• Serve our community in our new Duke campus being constructed in Mebane
• Dedicated support staff including ophthalmic tech assistance, Abridge AI scribe and surgical coordinator
• Children’s college tuition assistance
• Up to 13.2% employer retirement contribution
• Clinical Faculty role
The successful candidate will have:
• Active NC license
• Willingness and ability to travel between Duke Eye Center locations surrounding Mebane
• Completed an ACGME-accredited ophthalmology residency
• Completed an AUPO-accredited glaucoma fellowship
• Board certification (current or within the first year of hire) is preferred but not required
