Abstract submissions for the AUPO 2027 Annual Meeting and Educating the Educators are now open through August 17!

Please review the Abstract Guidelines carefully prior to submitting your abstract.

Abstract Guidelines

Educating the Educators

  • Topics related to resident education
  • Abstracts will be selected for both poster (live and virtual only) and paper (oral) presentations
  • Submitted work should not have been previously published or presented
  • Medical students, residents, and fellows who submit abstracts must include the name and contact information for their primary faculty mentor

Medical Student Education Paper Session

  • Topics related to medical student education
  • Abstracts will be selected for virtual only posters and paper (oral) presentations
  • Submitted work should not have been previously published or presented
  • Medical students, residents, and fellows who submit abstracts must include the name and contact information for their primary faculty mentor

General Guidelines

  • Abstracts must be 200 words or less and should include: title, background, purpose, methods, results, and conclusions
  • If selected for presentation, only one (1) author may present each abstract
  • Acceptance for virtual only posters does not constitute meeting attendance eligibility for medical students, residents, or fellows
  • Please note: Educating the Educators and the AUPO 2027 Annual Meeting are two separate meetings. Acceptance for live poster presentation for medical students, residents, and fellows only grants attendance eligibility for the meeting where they are presenting.

Free Paper Sessions

Our free paper sessions feature the innovative work of members, medical students, residents, fellows, and faculty. These sessions are among the most dynamic elements of the meeting program.

Poster Sessions

Poster authors present their research on 55" monitors onsite and in the meeting app, enabling accessible and engaging exchange with the broader meeting audience.
