AUPO's curated resources are intended to assist medical students applying for ophthalmology residency. Our well-attended annual webinar, Advice for the Ophthalmology Residency Match Season, is a highlight to plan for each June.

The Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO) and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) hosted a webinar titled "Advice for the 2026-2027 Ophthalmology Residency Match Season" on Wednesday, June 3.

Watch the full 90-minute session featuring program directors, department chairs, and educators from across the U.S. covering everything from personal statements to preference signaling. Perspectives from medical school deans, vice chairs of education, and directors of medical student education are included, representing diverse regions and program types nationwide. Participant questions are answered using the most current match data available.
