Job Description
The successful candidate will join the Wilmer Cornea Service and serve as the director of the ocular surface and dry eye clinic, which provides individualized care for patients suffering from ocular surface disorders and complex immune mediated corneal conditions. This position requires excellent clinical and surgical skills (specifically in high-risk corneal grafts, limbal stem transplants, keratoprosthesis etc.), dedication to academic medicine, and commitment to teamwork and professional growth. The ideal candidate will be at least mid-career with strong background in basic, clinical, and or translational research. The candidate will be a faculty in the Department of Ophthalmology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and will engage in teaching of fellows and ophthalmology residents in addition to research activities. Primary clinical activity will occur at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore with potential for collaboration or joint appointment in other departments such as Oncology or Rheumatology.
