Oculoplastic Specialist Opportunity

West Virginia  University  School of Medicine  and  the  Department of Ophthalmology seeks a   Oculoplastic Specialist that  has  a passion  for  providing excellent patient care, educating future physicians,  and  moving  medicine  forward through  continued  program  enhancement. This role would be qualified  for  appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level and the candidate will be expected  to  practice  in  Morgantown,  WV.

Qualifications: 

  • MD,  MD/PhD or DO degree or foreign  equivalent
  • Eligible to obtain a state medical license
  • Board certified /eligible in ophthalmology
  • Completion of ophthalmic plastic/reconstructive surgery fellowship program

At the  WVU Eye Institute  you will treat a diverse population and have exposure to clinically challenging cases. The WVU Eye Institute houses all subspecialties of ophthalmology as well as an active research program.  With ongoing expansion this role offers the opportunity to be busy quickly.

The Eye Institute is the largest comprehensive ophthalmology department in the state.    The nationally recognized Vision Research Center has made profound contributions toward advancing vision science and has collaborative partnerships with other WVU Departments and research institutions to build vision related research.  The research program currently is in receipt of seven R01 grants, one  COBRE grant, and 16 industry sponsored studies.
