Serving as a regional referral center allows the Department of Ophthalmology the opportunity to evaluate and treat a diverse population. Expertise in every area of medicine, ranging from Anesthesia to Zoonotic diseases interact in a supportive and cooperative environment. The Department of Ophthalmology exemplifies these aspects by its ability to care for patients with any medical or surgical eye condition. Additional, interactions with faculty outside of the department occur routinely.
