The UH Eye Institute and the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is seeking an academically-oriented Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon to grow our Center for Retina and Macular Diseases & Surgery. Appointment at the level of Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or full Professor is available commensurate with experience.

The position entails clinical activity at University Hospitals Case Medical Center, UH community hospital and satellite clinics. Excellent diagnostic and surgical skills are required.

The department supports an 18 resident ACGME accredited Ophthalmology training program, as well as fellowships in Pediatric Ophthalmology, Retina and Glaucoma.

The successful candidate must maintain high clinical and ethical standards that will be carried into decision-making processes, adhere to compliance measures, establish and promote an atmosphere of unity through collaborative practice and effective communication between all staff disciplines, and foster a high level of patient and staff satisfaction.

The candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology, with subspecialty training in retina/ vitreous diseases and surgery. Candidate must also possess/maintain a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Ohio.
