Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (HS Clinical, Clinical X, Adjunct, In-Residence) Cornea
The Viterbi Family Department of Ophthalmology at UC San Diego (https://health.ucsd.edu/specialties/eyes/Pages/default.aspx) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Department is seeking an experienced and dynamic candidate as a professor in Cornea Ophthalmology.
The successful candidate will lead a unified division in clinical care at multiple sites, research and educational programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality training to medical students, residents and fellows and participate in clinical and/or basic research.
Candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or PhD. Candidates with an MD must be board eligible or board certified in Ophthalmology. Candidates with an MD must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/ permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
Candidates with experience and training in cornea/corneal specialty, in-patient medical and surgical cornea and external disease, laser, diagnostic imaging & minor procedures are preferred.
The appropriate appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on candidate's qualifications and experience.
