The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the area of cornea/external diseases and refractive surgery. Our department has an exceptional and busy cornea and external disease division with a wide referral base. This position provides clinical and surgical services within UF Health clinical practices and ambulatory surgery center, all of which are located within a 10-mile radius of the main campus.

Salary, rank and tenure status will be commensurate with credentials and experience. The College of Medicine has an active faculty compensation plan which includes incentives and bonuses. Employer will assist with relocation costs.

University employer-paid benefits include individual and family (spouse/domestic partner and children up to age 26) health insurance, life insurance, and long-term disability insurance. Retirement benefits include participation in 403(b) and 457 plans. Professional liability protection and sovereign immunity is administered by the Florida Board of Governors self-insurance program.

Requirements include completion of an ACGME approved ophthalmic residency program as well as postgraduate fellowship training in cornea/external diseases and refractive surgery. Must be board certified or board eligible, and licensed (or eligible) to practice in Florida.

Preferred qualifications, in addition to clinical expertise, include a strong commitment to teaching and resident/fellow training.
