The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking an additional Board Eligible/Certified vitreo-retinal surgeon to join our full-time faculty.  Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of New York.  Academic appointment and salary will be made at a rank commensurate with qualifications.  The Department of Ophthalmology faculty are fully engaged in teaching and research along with service to both the hospital and medical school.  Candidates will be expected to provide the full breadth of medical and surgical retina care, train residents and medical students, and make academic and research contributions.

The Bronx, NYC is rich in diversity and Montefiore is the largest health care system in the borough, providing well over 125,000 ophthalmology appointments annually.  There is opportunity to make a meaningful difference in an area with tremendous clinical need.  Montefiore's residency program is accredited by the ACGME with five residents per year.
