The VA Portland Health Care System is currently recruiting for a Glaucoma specialist to join our ophthalmology department. The successful applicant should have glaucoma fellowship training, be ophthalmology board certified or eligible, and have interest in and aptitude for training residents in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and glaucoma clinical care and surgery, as well as seeing patients and performing surgery independently. The opening is for a full time staff physician but a compressed (four day) tour is available. The successful applicant will be appointed to the faculty of our university affiliate and would participate in Glaucoma departmental activities which may include resident conferences, independent faculty practice, or research subject to the mutual interest and benefit of the incumbent and the department. The job is primarily based in Portland but may involve limited travel to clinics in Salem or Vancouver.
