West Virginia University School of Medicine seeks a BC/BE Cornea/Refractive Specialist who has a passion for providing excellent patient care, educating future physicians, and moving medicine forward through research and continued program enhancement. Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license.  Candidates must have completed an accredited ophthalmology residency program as well as a cornea fellowship.  Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials.  Responsibilities will include providing excellent patient care as well as teaching medical students and ophthalmology residents and fellows.  Opportunities exist to participate in clinical and translational research.

At the WVU Eye Institute you will treat a diverse population and have exposure to clinically challenging cases. Our state-of-the art facility houses all subspecialties of ophthalmology as well as an active research program. This University-based practice is rapidly expanding with a vast patient population offering the opportunity to be busy quickly. Faculty appointment commensurate with qualifications and a very competitive compensation and benefit package is available.
