Now is the best time to join our clinical team at UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Department of Ophthalmology in Dallas. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinic manager to provide key organization skills to our clinic staff.

In this role, you will manage Ophthalmic Techs in the clinic to achieve institutionally determined standards to include: effective communication with staff, physicians and patients, providing feedback, goal setting, responding to patient and staff needs and mentoring and coaching staff to achieve performance improvement. You will also monitor workflow, ensure adherence to policies and procedures, and recommend and/or implement changes as necessary to maintain efficiency. Plus you will maintain a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers; organize and direct operational processes; monitor and manage clinical processes; ensure successful financial performance of the clinic; maintain patient confidentiality; design and execute effective system of internal controls; and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care administration or related field.
  • 5 years responsible administrative experience in patient care environment to include 2 years supervisory experience.
