The University at Buffalo Department of Ophthalmology/Ross Eye Institute http://www.smbs.buffalo.edu/ophthalmology/ and https://rosseye.com/ is currently recruiting a Corneal Specialist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Candidates must be BC/E. This position includes a well established outpatient base, protected academic time, teaching of medical students and residents, a new state-of-the-art facility, and excellent benefits. The position will include a large percentage of anterior segment surgery in combination with a vibrant cataract practice.

The Ross Eye Institute is located in downtown Buffalo, close to Elmwood Village and Allentown. There are suburban offices in Amherst and Orchard Park, which provides a diverse patient population. The Ross Eye Institute contains 20 examination lanes, an optical shop, a library and classroom, a surgical skills lab, two laser rooms, a procedure room, and an electrophysiology suite. The Ross boasts a state-of-the-art imaging suite equipped with the Zeiss Cirrus OCT and Heidelberg Spectralis HRA-OCT, fundus and slit lamp photography, Optos wide field imaging, HRT, Pentacam, and ORA. There are YAG, Argon, SLT, and Trans-scleral CPC laser capabilities at the main facility, and many options available at satellite offices as well. In addition, our newly constructed Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and the new Oishei Children’s Hospital will open in 2017; all within the BNMC http://www.bnmc.org/.
